From a young age, Sandra dreamed of being a writer, even as she majored in math at university. When her children were young, she took a writing course and wrote numerous reviews and articles for their homeschooling newsletter, but never pursued publication beyond that. And she never thought she’d be able to write fiction!
Then following her mother’s death, Sandra discovered Christian fiction. Seeing characters battle the same questions, yearnings and frustrations she battled, and triumph over them through God’s grace, restored her hope and rekindled her passion for writing.
So when her husband (out of desperation because of the books piling up around their house) suggested she write her own stories, little did he know where that off-handed remark would lead …
Six years and several much-revised novels later, Sandra received her first contract. The news arrived on their youngest child’s first day of college. What a wonderful way to celebrate her “graduation” from homeschool teacher to full-time author!
A mother of three grown children, Sandra lives in Niagara, Canada with her real-life-hero husband and now writes full time…when not doting on their first grandchild.
The property just happens to be on the way out to Gravity Canyon, which is an adventure stop for many tourists, including New Zealand's highest bridge bungy & New Zealand's Highest tandem bungy, New Zealand's original zipline/flying fox (the first one of it's kind in the world), and a giant bridge swing. The viewing platform, however, was the closest we got to such extreme adventure that afternoon, due to a combination of nerves and limited time to spend there. Just the platform alone got my legs wobbling... over the edge of it is a sheer 80 metre/260 foot drop to the river!
